Originates from the vessels inside the liver like the central vein. They drain deoxygenated and filtered blood from the liver into the inferior vena cava.

Clinical
Occlusion can cause Budd-Chiari Syndrome. Patients often present with ascites, hepatomegaly and complain of abdominal pain.
